BGH Business Solutions was born out of passion for accounting and taxation coupled with the desire to assist governance institutions and small and medium sized enterprises with financial management skills required in the successful management of their businesses, thus contributing to the economic development of our country.

Through our years of practical, hands-on experience in accounting and financial management in both private and public sectors, we are in a position to provide business solutions from business start-up throughout the business growth to maturity of the business.

Consulting

Financial management

We review financial management practices and offer advice on how to manage... the company’s business cycles from purchasing, managing inventory, invoicing customers to managing cash flow. We assist with setting up necessary financial management policies and procedures to ensure that best practices are established within the business.

Business processes improvement

We review business processes and advise on necessary internal controls and process improvements to enable our clients to manage the risk inherent in the financial processes within the business.

We offer a non-obligatory one-hour consultation service to determine the services required to meet the client’s needs.

Accounting

Our accounting services entail the full spectrum of accounting, from regular bookkeeping to preparation of annual financial statements.... We also conduct independent review on annual financial statements and provide independently reviewed annual financial statements, as required by the Companies Act.

Regular bookkeeping

Capturing from source documents, i.e. invoices, bank statements, etc., processing journals, reconciling general ledger accounts to subsidiary ledgers, i.e. accounts receivables, accounts payables, bank, etc. and produce a trial balance which is used to prepare financial statements.

Management accounting & reporting

Preparing monthly management accounts and reports as per client’s business requirements that enable our clients to make sound business decisions.

Annual financial statements

Compilation of annual financial statements from trial balance and other business reports and documents.

Independent reviews

Conduct independent reviews where the client is so required by the Companies Act and produce independently reviewed annual financial statements.

Online accounting system

We offer an online accounting system that is scalable to business growth.

Taxation

• Registration with SARS for income tax, VAT, PAYE, SDL, UIF. • Registration with Department of Labour for UIF. • Completion and submission of all tax returns (annual and provisional income tax, VAT, PAYE, SDL & UIF) • Tax planning & advisory on company and individual taxes.

Statutory

To ensure that our clients avoid the risk of de-registration and comply with all CIPC requirements, we assist with:...

• Submission of annual returns to CIPC. • Company amendments, e.g. change of address, change of directors, etc.

We also assist with new company registrations.

Credentials

BG Hlongwane qualified as a Chartered Accountant (SA) in 1998 after serving articles with Deloitte & Touche. She also holds an MBL degree with UNISA. She is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants. She has vast experience and expertise in the accounting and taxation fields, having held accounting and financial management positions in various organisations across different industries; including Independent Newspapers KZN, Nampak, Old Mutual SA, SABC, Eskom and MCG Industries as the Finance Director. In addition, she has Operations Management and Project Management experience obtained as the Operations Director responsible for execution of all research projects at Developmentnomics (Pty) Ltd.
